Tobias.vonLienen
..therefore any placeholders get cloned into the iPad Smart Group which creates licencing issues due to apps being assosiated to too many devices. What changes can I make to the Smart Group to exclude placeholders?
Pierre-Nicolas
I would go with inventory based SmartGroup: So : all iPads, but where state is *not* pre-enrolled. Pre-assigning license was advised by Apple to ensure apps can be installed as soon as possible, as assigning licenses may be delayed on Apple side (specially in Summer time when most K12 systems are going back to school). Since then Device-based licensing has been added and are supposed to be much faster, but we still pre-assign license to speed up initial enrollment.
